We sat down with Michelle to learn a little more about her.
So Michelle, what’s your origins story – how did you come into a career in HR?
“I studied psychology and knew I wanted a career where I was working with people. The business and people aspect of HR made me want to learn more and I guess the rest is history! After finishing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, I completed a post-graduate diploma in human resource management and knew this was the career for me.”
What’s been your favourite career milestone to date?
“Developing and implementing a global employee engagement program in my previous role was a highlight, as well as developing an employee recognition and reward system following the results of the engagement program.”
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your CV?
“I love travelling – to anywhere and everywhere. I took a year off work a few years ago to travel the world with my husband. These days I love camping in Western Australia with my young family.”
What are you working towards outside of work?
“I love spending time with my family, taking the kids away on holidays and getting out and about. I also hope to complete an MBA at some stage in the future.”
